Chalice is a bowl for Christian public act of worship, used while consecration of wine and intinction.
Silver
chalice with deep hemispherical bowl, on ornately shaped stem and round base.
The bowl surface is decorated with treillage-shaped pattern and four medallions
with the image of the Deisis (the Christ, Holy Mother and John the Precursor)
and the Crucifixion. Liturgical
inscription is circumferentially along the chalice crown. The stem is smooth
and décor free. The image of treillage and five round medallions with
emblematic image of the Holy Passion ornament the chalice base.
