Silver purse comprised of two  equal halves  connected by a hinge, with push-piece lock.  Three compartments for coins made of raspberry reps are inside.  A saying, written in the letters stylized as the old Russian ligature is on the relief repousse band encircling the purse "Whoever saves the money, will live without poverty".

To enhance the words, the master placed bulging rivets along the purse edge, imitating the ancient metal-bound chests, in which the wealth was securely stored.
