1. On the matchbox hinged lid inner side: 1898 Moscow District Assay Office mark – facing left female head wearing kokoshnik, with the initials of the district assay master Ivan Lebedkin ("ИЛ"). On the mount of the ashtray: "О.КУРЛЮКОВЪ"; 1898 Moscow District Assay Office triple mark
Circular ashtray made of clear colourless glass, featuring smooth silver rim mount and a double arched handle, with silver matchbox holder secured at the top of the handle. The body of the ashtray is decorated with a band of polished depressions ("thumbprints") and double horizontal lines.
Rectangular matchbox holder is gilded on the inside and features a hinged lid, as well as openwork (pierced) shaped side panel fitted with the ribbed striking plate. The upper surface of the lid is adorned with an engraved composition depicting seven matches.
