The surface of the cup with wide polished vertical facet and "cylinder" facet is decorated with monogram "A", painted on gold foil, on hermine mantle beneath the grand ducal (imperial) crown background. The image is enclosed between the walls of round "optical" medallion. The prominent edge for lips is emphasized with smooth bevel.
