Round dinner plate, on low circular stem, with scalloped edge. Part of the dish and flange of the plate are decorated with gilded rocaille ornament against the blue background. The monogram of Alexander Nikolaevih (since 1855 - Emperor Alexander III) - "A" on the white background is beneath the crown in the center. The edge of the flange and the circular stem are accentuated by a golden strip.

The Banquet service was made for the wedding of Great Prince Alexander Nikolaevich (1818 - 1881, since 1855 - Emperor Alexander III) and Augusta Sophia, daughter of Great Duke of Hessen, in the Orthodox tradition - Maria Alexandrovna, that took place 16 April 1841. The service for 36 persons comprised dinner and tea ware, geridons (tapered stands for desserts) and ice-cream dishes, all nearing the Great Prince's monogram "A". On pieces manufactured as additions to the service after the coronation of Alexander II, in 1855 - 1894, the monogram is surmounted with a crown (like on the present plate)
