The "Wheat Ears" (Épis-de-blé) glass vase features a classically elegant truncated cone shape that gently tapers toward the base, culminating in a simple, rounded neck. The piece is crafted from multi-layered art glass combining matte colorless, milky white, and deep purple hues. The wheat ears and stem details are hand-painted with high-fire gold and colored enamels. The lower section of the vase is saturated with a deep violet-blue pigment that rises upward like a mist, symbolizing an evening or pre-storm sky. The upper part is translucent and milky white, creating a soft contrast for the gold elements. The artistic composition depicts mature, heavy ears of wheat swaying in the wind amidst slender wild grasses. The wheat ears are executed in warm ochre-gold tones, meticulously detailed, and stand out strikingly against the cold purple background.
