    A faience planter on a flat base, featuring a rounded body with a slightly tapering upper third. The body of the piece is decorated with an expressive, raised polychrome ornamentation in the form of cicadas. The figures of the insects are set against a textured background designed as a treillage grid, enhanced with elements of gold foil fused under a translucent glaze (paillonné technique).
