Lamp-shaped vase is made of transparent glass, with rounded body and flared neck, resting on a low ring foot with gilded rim. Small glass loops (lugs) are on the body, through which chains were passed to suspend the lamp from the mosque ceiling. The surface of the lamp is decorated with large Arabic inscriptions (executed in Thuluth script) arranged in bands on the neck and body. The space around the calligraphic inscriptions is filled with a delicate Arabic ornament consisting of intertwining stems, stylized flowers, and leaves.
