The vase is shaped like a baluster with a neck in the form of a flower bud. Multilayered stained glass. Marquetry de verre in relief in purple, green and amber colours. The body is decorated with a giroflée des murailles. A quote from Chapter 25 of Victor Hugo's “Contemplations” is engraved on the vase lower part.
