The liqueur set is comprised of two decanters with stoppers, six glasses and a tray. The rounded cylindrical body of both decanters of transparent smoky glass with gold foil inclusions, with plated glass corrugated strap along the center, is decorated with embossed polychrome plot images and lines from the poem by François Villon «Ballad about the Ladies of the Bygone Ages» (1489), with artistic female images in capital letters (initials). Among the images is a girl playing a musical instrument, with her back turned to the viewer, a couple in medieval costumes, men’s legs in white elks and shoes. The figure base and shoulders of the decanters are decorated with a relief belt of the heraldic lily (fleur-de-lis).
The surfaces of the shot glasses with cone-shaped bowls and hollow stems are decorated with corrugated straps at the bottom and relief polychrome lines of the ballad with initials decorated with the images of young maidens. On some of the shot glasses the poetic lines are supplemented by separate compositions depicting fragments of robes and legs. One of the shot glasses bears the title of the ballad and the image of a medieval musician. The legs of the glasses are decorated with a relief belt of the heraldic lily (fleur-de-lis) and an arched frieze.
The rectangular high-side tray is decorated with a polychrome enamel composition depicting two Lorraine orchids growing out of a single shoot.
