Wooden case, shaped like a grand piano and veneered with mahogany, is set on five turned ebony legs with golden rims. A lock secures the upper lid, which features a mirror on its inner side, beneath which lies a tray with custom slots for sewing accessories and a compartment with an imitation keyboard. The sewing accessories are crafted from gilded silver, steel, crystal, and mother-of-pearl. Beneath the keyboard, a musical mechanism is installed, featuring a steel musical comb and a program cylinder for two melodies. Activating the musical mechanism and switching between the melodies is done by pressing the piano keys. The winding key pin is located on the underside of the piano case. The set includes two keys: a winding key with round ring and a key for the lid lock.
