Singing bird with alarm clock in silver rectangular case on profile pedestal, with top and side panels of blue transparent enamel over guilloche with floral ornamentation of polychrome champlevé enamel. Two corrugated pillars, with an oval aperture between them, covered with a hinged lid with painted enamel alpine landscape with Chillon Castle (Château de Chillon) on the shores of Lake Geneva and a sailing boat on its external side. The lid inner side is polished. Clock with convex glass in blue enamel frame with floral ornament, a guilloche side surface, with eight-day manually wound lever movement and alarm is mounted between the pillars’ top parts. The dial is golden with hours’ graduation by Arabic numerals and two blued steel hands; a small dial for setting the alarm time with Arabic numerals and blued steel hand. Two winding keys, two crowns for setting the hands of the clock and alarm clock, the alarm clock "off" button, and hallmark are on the clock’s rear side. A shifting lever for movement activation is on the front panel right top part. Keyhole for winding the bird’s movement, screws’ heads, a piece of green paper and hallmarks are on the guilloche bottom panel. When the alarm is turned on, the oval lid automatically opens; a miniature bird in painted feathers of red, green, yellow, blue and black colours appears. It rotates in place, flaps its wings, opens and closes the beak. The sound movement imitates bird’s chirping.

When the alarm clock is turned off, the bird is hidden in the groove in the openwork gilded lattice and the lid is closed. The box is stored in a case with a base, rear wall, two doors and a lock, with dark velvet and a lodgement for the key inside the base, with light satin inside the back wall and doors and an auction tag with inscription.
