Amber cased rectangular singing bird box with silver gilt mounted amber lid and amber bun feet. A hinged lid in the form of an oval amber cabochon in gilded shell with cast decorative elements is on the lid top center. The lid is automatically opened when the mechanism is activated. A miniature bird in painted feathers appears from under it. It turns, flaps its wings, opens and locks the beak. The sound movement imitates bird’s chirping. At the end of the program, the bird is hidden under the openwork gilded lattice and the lid closes.
The lid inner surface is polished. Щrnately shaped cast sliding switch of the singing bird movement is on the front panel right side. A keyhole is in the case wooden bottom, covered with purple cloth.
