Singing bird box in octagonal silver case on four legs. A young child with a large harp in the background is on the top panel. An oval aperture bordered by laurel leaves and covered with a hinged lid with an image of an angel and a bird with a bird on the external surface and a matte inner surface. Lateral sides are decorated with floral ornament and mascarons; movement-activating rod is on the right side. A keyhole for the bird's movement, three screw heads and hallmarks are on the bottom panel. When the rod is extended, the oval lid opens; a miniature bird in multicolour feathers appears. It turns in place, flaps its wings, opens and closes the beak; the sound mechanism simulates bird chirping. At the end of the program, the bird is hidden under an openwork gilded lattice and the lid is lowered.
