Pearl and gold singing bird music box of rounded rectangular form, chased and engraved with scrolling floral and foliate design on top and all sides, the top with hinged top oval lid decorated with engraved fruit vase and half-pears border. It opens to reveal the rising singing bird, engine-turned patterns on lateral sides and bottom. The lid inner side is mirror polished. A hinged lid is on the rear side that covers the polished inner tobacco compartment with the master's mark. The bird's on / off button is on the front panel right side top. When the bird's movement is turned on, the oval lid opens and a miniature bird in painted feathers appears. It swirls in place, flaps its wings, turns the head, opens and closes the beak. The sound movement imitates bird chirping. At the end of the program, the bird hides in a deepening in a guilloche field with a scalloped edge and apertures for sound output. The lid is closed. Bird’s movement with a spring motor and a fusee. The snuffbox is stored in a box covered with embossed Bordeaux-colored leather with a button; the inner surface is covered with dark red velvet, the lid - with white satin with an impress of the seller's stamp on it.
