An automaton with a frivolous scene, made of covered with polychrome enamelled metal is fixed on silver panel under the lid. A keyhole is under the lid as well. The automaton is activated when the spring is winded. The key grip and neck are curly, a rod with a square cross-section. London silver hallmarks prove the date of the box manufacturing - 1908.
