<BREAK />The clockwork case with curvilinear lateral and flat front and rear sides is mounted on rectangular stand fixed the cast ornately shaped base. Gilded cast decorative onlay in the form of a mascaron surrounded by volutes, acanthus leaves and garlands is on the case front side. Four apertures for winding the clockwork, hands setting and escapement adjustment are on the case rear side. The flat upper side is the base for a cast figured support. Foliage-shaped composition, supporting smooth bezel of the round transparent dial with black Roman numerals is fixed on the cast support top. Double concentric scale with large 15-minutes’ and small 5-minutes divisions. The axis of the gilded hour hand is in the form of a feathered arrow crosses the dial center. The hand has no visible connection with the clockwork and is driven by the rotating inner glass disc. The clockwork has eight-day winding reserve, half hour chime and pendular lever escapement. The clock belongs to the second series of Mystery Clock by the French watchmaker Eugene Robert Houdin with transparent glass dial and one hand. The clock is mounted on gilded cast stand decorated with foliage ornament with rocailles.
