The musical automaton is housed in a wooden case, supported by movable legs, adorned with colorful plastic decorative elements and dynamic backlighting in cylindrical side columns, as well as cast aluminum fittings and a rounded top. On the front side of the case, there is a door that opens with a lock, featuring a decorative grille with a ribbed half-column made of orange plastic with backlighting and a bubbling effect. Above are three slots for coin insertion with labels in the windows: “25 with 1 TO 4 QUARTERS”, “10 with 1 TO 10 DIMES”, “5 with 1 TO 20 NICKELS”, “Reg. U.S. Wurlitzer Pat. Off.” On the top left, there is a red coin return button with an inscription, and below it is a niche for coin return. The inner side of the door is covered with brocade fabric, behind which is located a dynamic loudspeaker and a coin mechanism. Above the door is a strip with windows numbered from 1 to 24 and melody selection keys. In the upper part of the case, behind a glass door with a lock, is an inclined panel with a catalog of melodies and instructions for using the automat. Inside, on a horizontal surface: to the left is a stack of 24 gramophone records spinning at 78 RPM on special trays marked with blue and red numbers. At the back, there is a mechanism for moving the tray with the selected record and a contact unit for the tray drive with melody numbers; above is a bracket with a pressure carriage and tonearm for playing the record. At the bottom right, a rod with a flange extends out, onto which the record is placed. In the lower part of the case, there is a power supply block, a tube amplifier, a player mechanism, and a melody counter. On the upper part of the back side, there is a nameplate with the manufacturer's details, a list of patents, and technical specifications. At the bottom, there are two square holes covered with a metal grid, a cable outlet with a two-pole plug, and a toggle switch for turning the power supply on and off with an inscription. The middle part of the back side is closed with a removable panel with oval slots. Before playing the record, it is necessary to turn on the automat, which activates the fluorescent lamps for dynamic backlighting and the bubbling effect. You must then insert one or more coins corresponding to 5, 10, or 25 cents, and select a melody by pressing the button with the corresponding number. The selection mechanism will extract the record from the stack, the rotating rod drive will bring the selected record to the pressure carriage and tonearm, and the needle will drop onto the record, playing the melody recorded on it. The music medium: gramophone record.
