The cage is made of straight and twisted metal rods, with a dome and suspension at the top, in a golden color. A regular relief ornament is present on the horizontal belt. The cage is set on a rectangular wooden base with beveled corners, featuring a relief ornament of scrolls, also in a golden color, with a protruding plinth resting on four supports. On the upper panel of the base, covered with brown velvet, stands a post with a crossbar among branches with red fruits and oak leaves, on which sits a little bird with yellow feathers and black wings and tail. Inside the base is a stick mechanism with a bellows, a flute pipe, and a spring drive, with a winding key on the underside and a lever to turn the mechanism on and off on the right side. On the lower panel, there is a round hole for air intake, covered with metal mesh, and a label with seller information. When the mechanism is wound and turned on, a clear trill sounds, the little bird opens and closes its beak, turns its head from side to side, and moves its tail.
