The automaton in the form of a brown bear figure sitting on its hind legs features a movable head and lower jaw, black carved wooden hind and front paws, is made of brown rabbit fur. The muzzle and ears are crafted from brown leather, and the eyes are glass. The jaws, with two rows of bone teeth, are enclosed in a wire muzzle.
The cam control mechanism with a spring drive is housed inside the torso, featuring a key winding hole on the right flank and an activation lever under the left paw.
When wound and activated, the mechanism causes its head to turn from side to side, the predatory jaws open and close, a ferocious roar is produced, and the bear simulates an attempt to grab with its front paws, after which all actions are repeated.
A double-sided key is included.
