Automaton in the form of a peacock in bright plumage with long beak, glass eyes, and a tail of real peacock feathers, stands on brass feet. When the mechanism is winded and activated, the peacock with its tail feathers folded walks forward to music, moving its legs and turning its head as if looking around. After taking several steps it stops, raises its tail, and spreads the tail feathers for a time, then lowers them and continues moving to the music while turning the head.
