Peter Pan stands on a high rocky support and plays a small pipe, raising his free hand in an expressive gesture. The miniature figure and rabbits at his feet are carved from ivory. Delicate pale carving contrasts with the massive polychrome stone support, making the base an active part of the fairy-tale scene.
