Inscriptions: signed by the author on the reverse side of the mantle: "H. Chiparus." and by the foundry workshop: "ETLING Paris".
The sculptural image of Saint Thérèse is located on rectangular marble pedestal, standing full-length, frontally. Her hands are pressed to her chest, holding crucifix and intertwined rosebuds. She is dressed in traditional Carmelite habit and long, flowing mantle. Her head is covered with wimple. The clothing, crucifix, and flowers are cast from bronze and covered with gilding. The face and hands are executed in ivory.
