Set on a smooth rectangular tiered base with a profiled edge, the sculptural composition depicts Empress Alexandra Feodorovna mounted on a galloping horse. Seated sidesaddle in a long dress adorned with a bow on the chest and wearing a hat; her right hand rests on the horse's mane, while her left hand holds the reins (now missing).
