The composition features a cat, carved from a single piece of Peruvian pink opal, in ballet-skirt with gilded silver belt; the cat's paws are entwined with gilded silver thread, stretching out from a ball lying next to the cat's hind paws. Rectangular obsidian base with gilded silver rim.
