The composition features white orchid carved from a single piece of raw agate with leaves and stem of Russian jade and a hummingbird from Afghan lapis lazuli and agate, with cabochon sapphire eyes, drinking nectar from the orchid center that is decorated with marquise-cut diamonds in gold setting. Double round base is from rock crystal.
