Designed and executed by the Colorado artist, Francisco, of a large specimen of highly transparent smoky quartz from the renowned district of Mount Antero, Colorado. Depicting a human skull with a Goliath bird-catching spider crawling out from under the jawbone. The title of the crystal sculpture is because the Skull was the victim of the Spider. An extremely large variety of the Tarantula family, the Goliath is actually capable of catching birds. The highly transparent rich brown smoky quartz displays natural internal cleavage lines that are fortuitously situated to give the appearance of cranial plates.
