Agate, onyx, petrified wood; carving, polishing, assembling

    Length 12.7 cm

Realistically depicting a European brown squirrel, carved from a single specimen of Brazilian brown agate. Onyx cabochons form the eyes; the agate is highly translucent and suggests the warm brown hues of the rodent's fur. The squirrel rests upon a removable base of natural petrified wood.
