On the front surface: inscription "Map of the Veliky Ustyug District" (Карта Великоустюжского уезда) in the upper right corner and the city coat of arms featuring Aquarius in the upper left corner
Rectangular silver snuffbox decorated with cartographic imagery. The front side features a panoramic view of Veliky Ustyug and a map of the Veliky Ustyug District, while the reverse side displays the plan of the city itself with the Sukhona River. Each side is marked with the coat of arms of Veliky Ustyug depicting Aquarius and other cartographic inscriptions, including a mention of the date when Veliky Ustyug was officially granted city status (1804).
