A round gold-cased snuffbox with a hinged lid. The solid lid is decorated with bands of varying thickness in light and dark blue enamel over guilloché background. The external rim is bordered by a row of 81 small seed pearls. In the center of the circle is a painted enamel plaque depicting a shepherd and a nymph seated on a rock, with Cupid between them holding an arrow. The sides and the base are covered in light blue enamel over guilloché background, with wide enamel border along the edge.
