Mark of unknown artisan – “A.W”; tee of Saint-Petersburg district Assay office in 1899-1908 with alloy “56” and district manager Ya. Lyapunov and his encircled initials “ЯЛ”
Rectangular gold cigarette case with rounded sides, with two compartments - for cigarettes (large) and matches (small, on the front side), with two hinged lids. Cigarette case surface is decorated with embossed mesh ornament. Thumb ramp on the upper lid is adorned with oval sapphire cabochon insert. Hinged lid on the front side is with special plate for lighting matches (on the inner surface). The wick aperture in the cigarette case rear side.
