Gold ovoid snuffbox with a hinged lid. Oval medallion from four-color gold with the image of a gas balloon of the Montgolfier brothers above the Tuileries gardens is on the lid. It is rimmed by frame in the form of the intertwined tail-rope. The case is decorated with guilloche panels with the image of quatrefoils and relief chased foliage ornament made of multi-color gold.
