Rectangular snuffbox  with bevelled corners and a hinged lid. Two octagonal miniatures are on the lid, one - with the image of a Roman soldier talking to a girl, the other one - with the image of a shepherd girl and a pair of sheep against a waterfall, on the lid. Miniatures are framed with gold foliate patterns on white background. White oval medallions with golden floral pattern, blue edging and dark blue translucent guilloche enamel inserts are on the lid. The bottom and lateral sides are decorated with dark blue enamel-guilloche with "zag zag" patterns.  Similar blue enamel edging is on the bottom.
