Snuffbox in rectangular golden case with rounded corners and a hinged lid, with a thumb ramp that is decorated with a relief floral ornament. Rectangular plaque, made of polychrome enamels, with the image of Alexander the Great with a cup and his doctor Philip reading a scroll is on the lid. The snuffbox bottom with guilloche ornament in the form of horizontal lines.
