Silver rectangular cigarette case, with rounded sides and two compartments. Large compartment is for cigarettes and small one is for matches (on the front side), with two hinged lids, special ignition plate is on one of them.
The cigarette case lid surface is ornated with onlay artistically decorated letters in the corners and red and blue enamel monogram "AP" in the center. The bottom surface is decorated with monochrome painted portrait of the Emperor Alexander II in general's dress-coat with orders and medals, including the Prussian Order "Pour le Merite" (1869) in oval; and onlay letters-monograms in the corners. Onlay monograms are on the cigarette case lateral sides. The aperture for a wick is on the rear side surface.
