The top lid is decorated with relief image of a curved stem made in the Neo-Russian style with fancy flower buds, enriched with insets of round cabochons of green and ruby ​​colours. Engraved presentation inscription in Cyrillic is in the right bottom corner: "На память // И.Ф.Гудкову // отъ // Товарищiй по Службњ // М.О.А.У. // I.XI.1913".
