Silver rectangular cigarette case, gilded inside, with rounded sides, comprised of two equal halves, connected by a hinge, with a snap closure. Rectangular medallion with enamel reproduction of Nikolay Rachkov’s picture "At the wicket gate" (1871) is on the top lid. The bottom lid is covered with polychrome pattern of floral rosettes, curls and leaves on black enamel and champleve backgrounds; the ornament is enclosed in ornately shaped frame in the center. A garland of leaves, flowers and rosettes ornate the rims of both lids. Round silver button is on the snap shutter. Enamels’ colour scheme is based on the combinations of blue, turquoise, green, red, white, yellow, purple and black shades.
