Silver rectangular cigarette case with rounded sides, with two compartments: for cigarettes (large, with gilding marks inside) and matches (small, on the front side), with two hinged lids. The corrugated surface of the cigarette case is supplemented with onlay details made of gold and silver, partly with enamel coating. Signatures and initials, a coat of arms with crossed swords, two banners, identification marks, an elephant figure, Easter eggs, and an oval medallion with profile of the Emperor Nicholas II are on the top lid. A signature and a monogram decorated with jewels, a Baron’s (?) crown, a lyre with inserts of pearls and turquoise, an oval medallion with profile of the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna and an anchor with two heraldic shields of the "French" type with the Russian Empire emblem are on one side and the French flag are on the other side of the cigarette case bottom. Onlay details in the form of monogram "OH" and two notes with rubies’ inserts decorate the flat end of the cigarette case. An aperture for a wick is in the rear side. Such onlay decorative details and inscriptions on a cigarette case should remind the owner of the anniversary date, past experiences, friends, wishes of success, etc.
