The top lid of the cigarette case is decorated with foliage geometric ornamentation and supplemented by gold onlays, monograms, a round insert with an image of a female head, a triangular plate with an engraved inscription: "Гръши \ противъ VII \ но чти XI", enamel images of a playing card (nine of clubs) and a bottle of liqueur. An onlay monogram and a rectangular plate with an engraved inscription in Russian: "Ванюшка! всё враки - // И седьмая и одиннадцатая: // "Всё мимолетно" (Vanyushka, total crap - // and the seventh, and the eleventh: // All is passing).
