Silver rectangular cigarette case, gilded inside, with a hinged lid and a thumb ramp. The surface of the cigarette case is covered with transparent blue enamel over the guilloche moiré pattern background and decorated with an onlay monogram "MA " beneath the Imperial gold crown. The side edges of the cigarette case are underlined by narrow ribbons with leafy two-colour gold ornament. A thumb ramp on the hinged lid is decorated with a narrow crescent-shaped stripe with small diamonds.
The monogram "MA" beneath the Imperial crown testifies that this cigarette case belonged to Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich (04.12.1978 - June 13, 1918), the brother of Emperor Nicholas II.
