Sculptural depiction of a rooster holding a pearl in its beak is set upon a
shaped naturalistic base (terrain) with wheat sheaves.The
figure is crafted from partially gilded silver and rendered in realistic
manner, featuring finely chased plumage and eyes inlaid with carnelian. The
composition is mounted on rectangular green onyx plinth, the sides of which
are decorated with coin inserts.
