The shtof-bottle is made of transparent colorless glass, tetrahedral in shape, with silver cylindrical neck casing and a stopper. The bottle glass surface is decorated with the images made in the acid engraving technique. On the wide walls, on the one side, is the coat of arms of the Kudashev princes, on the other – the family coat of arms of the Romanovs house. The image of a large tulip on a tall stem is on the narrow sides.
Silver ring-shaped neck rim is smooth and free of decor. The stopper with finial is in the form of round medallion with silver fifty kopecks coin dated 1839.

The commemorative shtof-bottle was made to mark the 300th anniversary of the reign of the House of Romanovs, which was widely celebrated in 1913. Painters, firms, and workshops began preparing for this significant event in the life of the Russian Empire three years prior the official announcement of the celebration date. Magnificent churches were built, numerous commemorative items (medals, coins, postcards, etc.) were created. At the Gus-Khrustalny factory owned by Yu. S. Nechaev-Maltsov, peculiar presentation bottles, vodka glasses and goblets decorated with familiar images of the ‘Romanovs’ were produced. They were based on sketches by the famous architect F.O. Schechtel to mark this historic jubilee. In terms of style, these items represent what is known as ‘Russian Retrospectivism,’ reflecting a particular direction of the official trend in the development of the ‘national Russian style’ of the early 20th century, created on the basis of art models of Russian applied art from previous centuries. The coat of arms of the Kudashev princes on the shtof -bottle indicates that it was made to special order and was intended for Nikolai Alexandrovich Kudashev (1868-1925), a representative of the Kudashev family, diplomat and privy councillor.
